written after a stroke but it could apply many life changing situations.
It comes out of nowhere and hits you flat between your eyes.
It shakes you up.
It makes you to want to look for answers.
It makes you scared to be the independent person you always thought you were.
It makes you think of things you’ve done in the past.
It makes you question your every decision and action that has brought you to this point.
It makes you wonder if you will be around to question the decisions you make today.
It makes you long for times gone by.
It makes you think of old friends.
It makes you ask why you haven’t made new friends.
It makes you question the God in whom you have put all your faith.
It makes you angry, hurt, and feeling defeated.
It makes you pray.
It makes you stronger.
It gives you power.
It makes you appreciate the blessings you have TODAY.
It brings you to realize if this is the end, you are going to be okay.
It brings you closer to God in the end.
What has shaken your faith? Whatever it is, it can make you rethink your human mortality, your dependence on each other, and your ability to control your life.
